East Village Masterplan: Projects

The Village at Mammoth, East Village is a 5.8 acre (2.3 ha) site located directly east of the competed West Village and gondola, which forms the third base area for the Mammoth Mountain ski area. 


The area was in early planning and rezoning submission with the City of Mammoth lakes and approving agencies and anticipated over 600 condo-hotel homes in two flagged four-star hotels with

mixed grade level commercial and underground parking.


Rezoning included developing a new master plan with the Town of Mammoth Lakes Neighbourhood District Planning Process and EIR (Environmental Impact Review) and agency approvals through CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act), the Lahontan Water Quality Board, the Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District.

    • Project design and approvals (preliminary re-zoning application)

    • Hotel preliminary branding work with Starwood Capital (the Hard Rock Hotel, the “1” Hotel and Intrawest branded condo-hotel)

    • Marketing and sales coordination with Intrawest Playground

    • Intrawest lands sale to Fortress Capital due diligence
