Eggplant again, I’m hooked! Chilling out for a late afternoon lunch on a 125 yr old veranda overlooking a 60 acre nature reserve above the 2,300 year old city of Modurai.
“Eennai Katharikai” is the dish, a native favourite in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Its basically sumptuous cherry tomato sized eggplants in a thick tomato gravy packed with insane herbs, Oh ya, and coconut freakin’ rice!
And a peacock just sauntered by, gave me a look over, and moved on to something more interesting…
PS – didn’t mean to write about food, but… most of it is just so damn amazing!
